This spice been used in Asia for thousands of years. Most delicious Asian dishes made with Turmeric. Medically speaking, the antifungal and antioxidants properties of this lovely spice is perfect to treat throat infections, common colds, or liver ailments, as well as topically to cleanse wounds or treat skin sores. In Asia it’s normal to drink milk with Turmeric as a boost to immune system but how does it taste? … Well, it must taste good since its growing in popularity among western cultures to be used in all sorts of warm drinks such as tea, coffee and milk.
I recommend this recipe by Richa since its one of the most original one from India and then I can work myself into adding other stuff like coffee, almond or even experimenting with other ingredients.
I will mix a cup of milk (normal, soy or coconut) with ¾ teaspoon turmeric, 1 teaspoon honey and a pinch of black pepper and bring it to boil and the shimmer it for few moments and then its ready!
