How to ensure that you are using the right make up for your skin

The skin is the largest organ in the body and perhaps the most sensitive. Just one wrong ingredient in the makeup you chose to use and you might be facing weeks of breakouts, flakes, and dryness. As a woman, the last thing you want is less than perfect skin. Your skin speaks volumes about how you are taking care of it and what you eat. You, therefore, need to ensure that you leave a great impression on people. One way to ensure that you have blemishless skin is to choose the right makeup for your skin type. You will find that there are very few things that are as tough as choosing makeup that is right for your skin tone and skin type.

Fair skin tone

If you have fair skin, you probably look like something from the snow white fairy tale, smooth and flawless. Finding the right make up for your skin type is the toughest part of any shopping experience. You may even compare it to searching for a needle in a haystack. It is, however, not all impossible. You may have noticed that your ivory skin tone makes all colors to stand out extremely. This look is not one that you always try to achieve. You, therefore, need to find make up that has soft pinks, peach or coral colors. These will help enhance your beauty without making you look like a freak. You will not have to hide your skin or make it seem like something it is not. Wearing makeup, after all, is all about finding ways to enhance your natural beauty.

Medium skin tones

If you are neither olive nor light, you probably have the best skin tone because you are right in between. Medium skin tones have just the right warmth to give that natural glow and you are one lucky lady!  Honey shades, golden brown and bronze colors work perfectly for your skin tone. If you want your eyes to pop, go for lavender and blue eye shadows. Let nothing stop your imagination. Nature has favored you with great skin, ensure it always looks amazing. You can also use highlighters and bronzers to highlight your completion.

Olive skin tones

You have the most coveted skin tone. When it is sunny, you probably turn a beautiful shade of gold. Your completion makes it such that you always have skin that looks radiant and lively even on a bad day. You do not need much to look lively but when you feel a bit dull, rosy pinks, a hint of shimmer on your cheekbones and peach blush should do the trick quite well. You, however, need to avoid pale colors that make your skin look dry, pale and horrid.

Dark skin tones

Dark skin tones are the richest and can comfortably pull off any color combinations. You will look great with purple lipstick just as much as you will with glossy pink lipstick. Pigmented cosmetics should be your best friend. You can probably do great with bright orange blush and a shimmery bronzer. These will help to enhance your darker skin tone.

Everyone is different. You may not always be the same tone all year round. Some days you will be paler than other days. If you are choosing foundation for your skin, make sure you test both a lighter and a darker shade. This will make sure that you have the right colors. If the two blend and look great in natural light, you can blend them to ensure that you have a nice coverage and you never look chalky or as though you are right from the tanning table.
